ow!–quit it!
So far- so good. The good news about quitting is that once you quit, you’ve actually quit. There’s no waiting for anything. I had my last smoke friday night & here I am on Sunday. It only took me about 10 years to get fed up & quit. I am getting little urges, but NOTHING LIKE WHAT I THOUGHT IT WAS GOING TO BE LIKE! Someone told me it was harder than quitting heroin, but now I know that’s some giant bs. I can highly recommend picking a far-off quiting date and sticking to it because I really made my mind up and there’s no going back at this point because EVEN THOUGH IT’S NOT AS BAD AS I THOUGHT IT WAS, I DON’T WANT TO START ALL OVER AGAIN.

p.s. In case you’re wondering-I went cold turkey. I thought if I used a patch or gum, its’ just perpetuating the problem. Plus, I am awesomely cheap! According to what i heard about the nicotine in my system, I only have about 24 hours before it’s completely gone.

SO FAR SO Good! you can do it without giving anyone your money. Be stubborn like me! It also helps if you’re Italian (being stubborn).

DID you really do it? I'm still trying. I went cold turkey for nearly 17 years! It never bothered me. I too set a date to quit, nearly 5 months down the line.

WARNING WILL ROBINSON: Never, not EVER bum ONE cigarette. Never, not EVER....since it didn't "bother me"...I tried one after 4 years; then 2 in one month (ahhh--these were the menthol kind I use-da smoked); then there were 2 a week. Well, you know the story--7 years later, I'm only up to 3 packs a week, but why ANY AT ALL?????
