Thanks to an anonymous editor, I don't have to watch Riding the Bus With My Sister. Thank you!

Ok. So I had a discussion with Adam the other day about how people writing the major blockbuster movies never get the female characters quite right. (He also writes sceenplays for his own movies) I stated that no one really gets it right EXCEPT for lifetime and a few movies on court tv on the weekends. What do you think?

a mother's justice
This starts my revies of bad Lifetime Movies here at Supah.com.
Let's get started with a standard of the genre: A MOTHER'S JUSTICE 1991
(not to be confused with A MOTHER'S FIGHT FOR JUSTICE which is a completely different Lifetime Movie!)

A horomonally unbalanced mom embarks on a quest for vengeance when police don't do everything she tells them to do.
I think this was based on a true story that happened in Oregon, but arent' they all? Ok this one was really bad. The mother in A Mother's Justice , played by Meredith Baxter, was such a trashy meanypants. The daughter, played by Carol Burnett's daugher, was like twice as trashy. Early in the movie this was exemplified when she wanted to leave her trashy boyfriend-in-a-wifebeater's apartment to go to her "open mic" gig. He told her she shouldn't go because it was more than 5 hours since they had played hide the salami. Her reply was something to the effect of "Can't you go one day without me muffin pants"? Whatever you're like 18 living with a 35 year old.
The daughter waits for a bus & gets jumped by the proverbial "scary black man". He rapes her & then basically the rest of the movie is about the cranky mom's obsessed vendetta for the rapist. That's basically all you need to know.
This movie had the strangest, most awkward bits of comedic moments mixed in with these women being attacked & raped. Just trust me on this one, because I don't reccommend you actually waste your time watching it. Seriously, the same people produce Mary Kate & Ashley tv movies. Enough said.
