knitting callus. I has one.
I thought I was developing a (eek!) wart on my finger. It took until I was in the waiting room at the Dr.'s office, where I tend to bring along something to work on so I don't get so anxious & nervous and run away home.
Extreme knitting part II
too much knitting, I suppose.
I should be making paintings and drawings instead. It's just that knitting is so portable and less disruptive.

Le travail soit accompli!
Fun with leftovers: turning scraps into something very cute - my color story goes from a raspberry to orange, gold, chocolate, and fuzzy mottled unused NOBO yarn from walmart - which turns out is fabulous, and Moda Dea's Caché yarn in a great pink/orange combo with some purply pinks and gold foil throughout. Here is a link to the pattern creatrix's, Lydia Widman's website. (I came across the pattern through a day-by-day 2007 knitting calendar.) Onto the dreaded karabella sweater.

I guess the purpose of these would have to be sculpture. I can't really think of any other reason to create them - to perhaps perch them on a high shelf? They are absolutely adorable, however, and I want to knit all of them.

The price of this yarn negates the fun factor IMHO, still - it's very pretty at Fun With Yarn

I'm looking forward to getting my hands on the next Vogue Knitting mag - - I saw the pattern shown here and it looks like a fun challenge ... I'll have to tease my hair drop 75 lbs. & rip down some sheer curtains to make a skirt to complete the look.
