Happy 4th! I went to Rockford, IL for the holiday, and had a mello yello time. Working on side projects and hanging out with Adam, his best friend Ted his new wife, Karolyn, and Adam's mommy.

7/18/2000 R Kelly is a wuss
Adam is working on the set of the new R Kelly video being taped here in Chicago. So far he has showed up late both mornings. The people from his own neighborhood scare him. He seems like a wuss.

 

 

 

 

 

 

7/21/2000 Kentucky
I went to Kentuucky today. After I got out of work, Adam and I drove for hours to wind up around Lexington. We checked into a hotel room and played a generic version of Mouse Trap™. No. Really.

 

 

 

 

 

 

7/22-24/2000

2 nights in tennessee
Spent the nights in a campground called "Ballyhoo" . Adam wproved his man-skills by building fires and cooking dinner in it. We golfed with my mom and dad and got to see my sister's family & of course we played more board games.

 

 

 

 

7/25/2000 nashville ~ tupelo
 Went through western tennessee through nashville (BTW: the grand ole opry was majorly disappointing- it has turned into a big mall-type place new country style) and then down to mississippi to tupelo. Went to Tombigbee state park in the middle of nowhere to camp. There was no one around.

 

 

 

 The last thing the ranger said to us was "Are you sure you guys want to be out here?" I didn't help things when I asked Adam if he had seen The Blair Witch Project. We were both a little scared, but it didn't come close to how scared we both were when we heard noises ouside our tent. Adam thought there were bears when he woke me up by covering my mouth with his hand. Which freaked me out pretty bad. We kept still and listened. After a while I figured it was raccoonies & fell asleep. Adam heard me breathing in my sleep and thought it was a bear and woke me up again. 7/26-27/2000 graceland ~ paducah
Graceland. It made me so sad. It was gaudy and everything, b ut still a sad place. We then drove through Beale sSt. saw Sun Records where BBKing and Howlin' Wolf made their first recordings. Made our way through Arkansas and back into Kentucky to Paducah. Spent the night there and wound up in Chicago by 11pm.

7/31/2000 crazy weekend
